Seaside, Calif. - Visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills (15-10 CCAA, 26-16) swept a CCAA baseball doubleheader, 9-1 and 14-4, from Cal State Monterey Bay (6-25 CCAA, 15-35) Saturday afternoon.

In Game 1, Cal State Dominguez Hills scored four runs in the first two innings to seal the game. In the ninth inning, a double play pushed the Otters' Daniel Gomez across the plate to ruin the shutout attempt.

Ryan Owen gave up four hits, no runs and struck out nine batters in six innings to move to 6-2 on the season. For CSUMB, Garret Lyons went two-for-three to lead the attack.

In Game 2, the Toros jumped to a 7-1 lead after three innings to close out the game. Troy Sanchez was three-for-four, scored a run and drove in one run while Budd Glock was two-for-three and scored one run.

The two teams close out the series Sunday when a single game will be played. It is scheduled to start at noon.
