Game 1           Game 2

ROHNERT PARK, Calif - The Sonoma State softball team hosted Cal State Dominguez Hills Thursday afternoon, with the Toros breezing in each game, winning 6-1 and 13-4. CSUDH improves to 40-9, 19-7 CCAA, while the losses drop Sonoma State to 20-33 overall.

The Toros would open up the scoring in game one with a two-run blast by Jackie Miller. The long ball would give the Toros two more runs in the fifth, this time coming off the bat of Jennifer Wilson. It was the start of what was to be a big day for Wilson. The Toros would cap off their scoring in the seventh inning with two more runs.

Sonoma State's lone run would come in the bottom of the seventh when freshman Jennifer Murray knocked in fellow freshman Alex Winters.

Murray led the Seawolves with two hits in the game.

The Seawolves shot out to the lead in the nightcap, outscoring the Toros 2-0 in the first two innings. The Seawolves would add another run in the third inning, maintaining a 3-2 lead over the Toros.

The next four innings would see the Toros explode for 11 runs. A grand slam by Wilson in the fourth inning started things off for the Toros, and they would end the inning with five runs scored.

Hits and walks would contribute to the Toros six-run seventh inning as they went on to win the game 13-4.

Senior Heather Sanders was a perfect 3-3 for the Seawolves, adding a double and a RBI in the game.

CSUDH concludes its regular season at Cal State Stanislaus tomorrow, in what could be a preview of an NCAA Far West Region first round match-up between the current No. 4 and No. 5 seeds in the Western Region.
