Bowser Leads Four Toros in Top 10 of 100-Meter Dash at Rossi Relays
CSUDH Kicks Off 2007 Outdoor Track & Field Season
February 24, 2007

Carson, CA - Deborah Bowser (Long Beach, CA/Cerritos JC) kicked off the Toros 2007 outdoor track & field season with a fourth place finish in the 100-meter dash at the Rossi Relays hosted by Claremont College.

Bowser would be the top Toro finisher on the day, crossing the line in a time of 12.46, in a race that featured fellow CCAA runners from Cal State L.A. and Cal Poly Pomona, as well as other schools such as USC, Occidental, Vanguard, and Cal State San Marcos.

Overall the Toros would place four runners in the top 10 in the 100-meters, more than any other school represented.

  • 100-Meter Dash: Danielle Lewis (12.46, 6th), Shammeer Dawson (12.63, 8th), April Panteau (12.72, 10th), Stephanie Peoples (13.61. 26th),
  • 400-Meter Hurdles: Natasha Kenion (70.74, 18th)
  • 4 x 800-Meter Relay: (10:31.97, 8th)

The Toros will next be in action at the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston, MA on March 9, and then continue their outdoor season on Friday, March 16, at the Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State.
