NCAA National Track and Field Championships

Charlotte, NC – The Toros' 2007 Track & Field season came to an end on the third and final day of the NCAA DII Outdoor Championships as Grace Fitchett (Los Angeles CA/Paramount HS) gained CSUDH's lone All-American honor with her 8th place finish in the 100-meter hurdles finals.

In the event, the junior made her way down the track in a time of 14.33 to finish eighth while Zolymar Febles from Rio Piedras took home the title with a time of 13.54.

Fitchett had a strong junior campaign for the Toros, qualifying for the 60-meter dash at the indoor Track & Field Championships, and then qualifying for the Outdoor Championships in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 100-meters hurdles, while also being part of the 4x100-meter relay team.

The Los Angeles native looks to return for her senior year as a seasoned veteran capable of leading the Toros to the upper echelon of the CCAA Conference.
