Chelsea Clinton to Visit CSU Dominguez Hills This Friday

(Carson, CA)Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, is coming to the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills this Friday, Feb.1, as part of the Clinton campaign’s young voter outreach effort.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Clinton will lead a youth movement rally outside the Loker Student Union’s Palm Courtyard. Joining her will be actresses America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, Erika Alexander and actor Simon Woods, along with Congresswoman Laura Richardson (D-Carson) and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-Garden Grove).

Chelsea Clinton has been visiting a number of universities in the last several weeks to campaign for her mother, but also to press upon young voters the importance of their vote in the upcoming presidential election. The California Primary is Tuesday, Feb. 5. Young voters are expected to play a particularly important role in determining the next president.

Dominguez Hills is located at 1000 E. Victoria St. in Carson, near the junction of the Harbor, Artesia and San Diego freeways. The Palm Courtyard is the center courtyard of the Loker Student Union and is adjacent to the University Theater. A map of campus is available at www.csudh.edu/site/VisitUs/Maps.asp.

The rally is occurring during the first week of the spring 2008 semester, when parking in campus lots is free. Parking lots 3 and 6 are nearest the student union.
