Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi and Experts to Address
State’s Higher Education Challenges

(Carson, CA) -- On Monday, Feb. 25, on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills, Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi will bring together a team of leading experts to discuss ideas for addressing the state’s higher education challenges. At what is the 10th stop on his “Listening Tour” of California State University campuses, Garamendi will hear from local business, labor, education and economic development leaders about the CSU’s role in preparing California for the future and developing the workforce of tomorrow.

The event, at 1 p.m. in the university’s Loker Student Union, is open to the public.

The focus of the panel will be on preparing the next generation of professionals in education and nursing. As a CSU Board of Trustee member, the lieutenant governor recognizes that CSU Dominguez Hills, and the entire CSU system, will play a critical role in addressing shortages in these essential growing fields.
