Where Are They Now? . . .
Joe Gevas, Former Toros
Baseball Player

For a time, Joe Gevas' name was synonymous with Toros baseball. The Vallejo native graced Toro Field for four seasons, establishing CSUDH records in the process, some of which still stand today. A powerful left-handed hitter, Gevas was named a 3rd-team All-American and the CCAA Player of the Year as a senior, and was invited to play for the Greek Baseball Team at the 2004 Olympic Games (he declined). The Toros Online sat down with Gevas recently, and talked about his legacy on the baseball field and on the campus of CSUDH, with a few comments included from his former coach, head baseball coach George Wing.
