The President’s Dinner:
Yearly Benefit for Scholarships to be Held on April 7

The 8th Annual President’s Dinner Benefitting Scholarships at CSU Dominguez Hills will be held on Friday, April 7 at the Torrance Marriott Hotel. This year, a silent auction has been added to the evening, with the opportunity to bid on items including tickets for a "Dr. Phil" taping to gift certificates for spas, restaurants and hotels. A movie poster for “Brokeback Mountain,” autographed by Oscar-winning screenwriter Diana Ossana is also available for bidding on eBay, celebrating her visit to CSUDH prior to her triumph at the Academy Awards ceremony in March.

Rod O’Connor: New Home Depot Center GM Wants Open Door Policy in Partnership with CSUDH

Having served as chief executive officer for the 2004 Democratic National Convention
Corporation in Boston, Rod O’Connor is used to orchestrating large-scale events and
leading people to success in a common goal. As the recently named vice president and
general manager of The Home Depot Center, he hopes to do just that, not only with his staff, but with CSU Dominguez Hills students as well, with a marketing internship
program.
