The Magnificent Six: Justine Bell-Waters Among Those Honored by City of Carson

Justine Bell-Waters, acting vice president of University Advancement and a 20-year professor of history at California State University, Dominguez Hills, was honored March 29 as one of the Six Magnificent Women of 2006 by the Carson Coordinating Council.

Nadine and Don Hata: One For the History Books

A small room in Donald Hata’s home provides a sanctuary for the emeritus professor of history, with its walls covered with mementoes of his wife, Nadine Hata,former Dominguez Hills professor of history
who died last Februrary. One of their last collaborations, two chapters in City of Promise: Race and Historical Change in Los Angeles was published this February and dedicated to her.
