CSU Chancellor's Office Approves Grant Proposals to Develop Annual Fund, Comprehensive
Giving Programs

Two CSU Dominguez Hills grant proposals were approved by the CSU Chancellor’s Office for furthering philanthropic support for the University and for the development of an Annual Fund, a Capacity Grant of $50,000 for enhancements toward the University’s
annual fund operations, and a Mini-Grant of $7,000 will go toward a prospect identification and management program to identify alumni, parents and friends as potential supporters of CSU Dominguez Hills.

A Bug's Life: Art Students Donate Final Project to Autistic Children's Center

When David Parson’s 3-D art class had to come up with a final project to use the 12”X24”X12’ planks of Styrofoam donated by Dow Chemical, they decided to depict large, human-scale bugs waiting at a bus stop, with characters such as a schoolboy ant, a grasshopper on his cell phone, and a queen bee. The installation was donated to the Julia Ann Singer Therapeutic School, a center for children with autism and learning disabilities in Los Angeles.
