Dominguez Hills Presidential Search Committee to Hold First Meeting on Jan. 19

The California State University Board of Trustees will begin the search for a new president of CSU Dominguez Hills to succeed retiring President James E. Lyons, Sr. The first and only open meeting of the search committee will take place on Friday, January 19 on the CSUDH campus.

Loker Student Union Reopens With Ribbon Cutting on Jan. 25

To kick off the long awaited reopening of the newly expanded Loker Student Union, a Ribbon Cutting Celebration will take place on Jan. 25 at 1:30 p.m. Activities during the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 2 will introduce the new spaces and services to the CSU Dominguez Hills campus.

The recently formed Dominguez Bridge Theatre Company, a branch of the Theatre Arts Department at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, is made up of students, faculty and staff, and local residents who have committed to presenting community-related theatre throughout the South Bay.

"The Artist Revealed" - National Portrait Show Puts Best Face Forward

“The Artist Revealed,” an exhibition on loan from the Syracuse University Art Collection, opens on Feb. 8 in the University Art Gallery, bringing together paintings, sculpture, and other media that examine artists’ self-portraits as well as their portrayals of other artists, actors, writers and musicians.

Louis H. Heilbron (1907-2007) Was First CSU Board of Trustees Chair, Helped CSUDH Grow

Louis H. Heilbron, an attorney who served as the first chairman of the California State University Board of Trustees, and a great supporter of a young institution that became CSU Dominguez Hills, died on Dec. 20 in San Francisco at the age of 99.
