CSUDH students explore their peers' work at Student Research Day in November; caption below

Biology Students Attend the 2006 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students

Five CSU Dominguez Hills (Minority Biomedical Research Support (MBRS) Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) program students attended the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) in November in Anaheim, California.

Photo above: Senior Pernell Jones (Health Sciences) presented one of two best overall poster presentations at the CSUDH Student Research Day last November. Jones, pictured at far right, did his research on "Gender Attitudes of Condom Use among Sexually Active South African 8th Graders" while studying in Cape Town, South Africa last summer, and presented his findings with the help of his faculty mentor, Vanessa Parker, assistant professor of health sciences.
