Clare Weber: Sharing Women's Activism Across Borders

Clare Weber, assistant professor of sociology and program coordinator, Women’s Studies, had her first book published last August. Visions of Solidarity: U.S. Peace Activists in Nicaragua from War to Women's Activism and Globalization is currently the only study of the shift in direction of peace activists in Central America and the United States from anti-war struggles to exploring the effects of globalization.

Photo above: In 1981, the CSU Archives were dedicated in CSUDH’s Educational Resource Center, now known as the Leo F. Cain Library. Louis H. Heilbron, former CSU Board of Trustees chair, presented CSU Chancellor Glenn Dumke with a plaque designating the “Archives of the California State University and Colleges, Founded September 15, 1981” which still marks the entrance of Archives and Special Collections today.
