Senior’s Mathematical Research Adds Up to Unlimited Career Options Ruffin Swain, senior (Mathematics) presented his poster titled, “On complete cyclic cutwidth critical graphs and the investigation of 4-linear cutwidth critical tree graphs” at the Joint Mathematics Meeting of the Mathematical Association of America in New Orleans on Jan. 7. He was recognized with a $100 prize among students presenting undergraduate research.

Photo above: Senior Pernell Jones (Health Sciences) presented one of two best overall poster presentations at the CSUDH Student Research Day last November. Jones, pictured at far right, did his research on "Gender Attitudes of Condom Use among Sexually Active South African 8th Graders" while studying in Cape Town, South Africa last summer, and presented his findings with the help of his faculty mentor, Vanessa Parker, assistant professor of health sciences.
