Amer El-Araf: Emeritus Professor Named One of 15 Leaders in Environmental Health

Amer El-Ahraf, professor emeritus, Health Science was named one of 15 “Leaders
in Environmental Health” in the Jan.-Feb. issue of the Journal of Environmental
Health
. His career, spanning more than 30 years, includes experience in nearly every aspect of public health, from air quality management to developing environmental education curriculum for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Gilah Hirsch, professor of art, is a featured artist in “Healing: A Contemporary View,” an exhibit at Galerie Lakaye in Los Angeles. Three of her paintings are part of a juried selection of Los Angeles artists, chosen in conjunction with the exhibit, “Healing: A Cultural Exploration,” which is now showing
at The Craft and Folk Art Museum in Los Angeles through April 15.
