The Division of Academic Affairs, the Academic Senate and the Emeritus Faculty Association hosted the annual Faculty Awards Reception on February 8, in the University Student Union Ballroom at CSU Dominguez Hills. President James E. Lyons, Sr. and Provost Allen Mori welcomed the campus community, including faculty, deans, and staff. The many past faculty awards recipients in attendance were acknowledged by Herman Loether, vice president, Emeritus Faculty Association, and the recipient of the 1984 Outstanding Professor Award.
