MySpace Study Reveals Correlation Between Parenting Styles and Teen Use of Website Larry Rosen, professor of psychology, and Nancy Cheever, assistant professor of communications, led a symposium on “The MySpace Generation: Adolescents Living in a Virtual World” at the annual conference of the Western Psychological Association in Vancouver in May. Along with their research team of California State University, Dominguez Hills students, they presented topics including the influence of online interaction on adolescent socialization, the perception of sexual predators on MySpace, and the effect of parenting styles on teens' use of the Website.

Franklin Strier: Stealth Compensation Examined in International Journal Franklin Strier, professor of business law, had his article “Stealth Compensation,” published in the May issue of the International Journal of Disclosure and Governance. The article examines the issue of top executives and compliant boards of directors disguising executive rewards, a practice known as stealth compensation and its threat to financial reporting transparency.
