Johnny Santo Domingo: Creator of “Imagine” May Be a Dreamer, But He’s Not the Only One

Johnny Santo Domingo (Class of ’07, B.A., television arts/digital graphics) was awarded the first place Rosebud Award in the television category at the California State University 2007 Media Arts Festival, which was held November 2-4 at CSU Channel Islands. His entry, “Imagine,” which was partially filmed in the CSUDH Mac lab, depicts the creative process a student goes through in presenting a film project.

College of Business Administration and Public Policy Honors Industry Friends and Alumni of the Year

The achievements and partnerships of the California State University, Dominguez Hills College of Business Administration and Public Policy were celebrated on Nov. 1 at the college’s inaugural Awards Luncheon held in the Loker Student Union ballroom. The Dean’s Medallion Awards were presented to organizations and individuals who have contributed greatly to the college’s success, both academically and in providing real world networking and training opportunities for Dominguez Hills students.

Robyn McGee: Women’s Resource Center Director and Students Discuss Women’s Body Image on BET’s “Meet the Faith”

Robyn McGee, director of the Women’s Resource Center at California State University, Dominguez Hills will be featured on Black Entertainment Television’s “Meet the Faith” airing Sunday, Nov. 18. The show, which addresses a wide range of current topics pertinent to African Americans. The segment with McGee focuses on body image perceptions among African American women, a subject she has written and lectured on extensively for many years.

“The Little College on a Hill” Continues, Nov. 16-18

"The Little College on a Hill" continues its run, Nov. 16-18, for its final weekend. The play is the result of the Dominguez Bridge Project, an ambitious undertaking to interview Cal State Dominguez Hills graduates, faculty, staff and students from the past 40-plus years of the university’s history. CSUDH alumnae Brenda Killian and Naomi Buckley used details culled from those interviews to write the play.
