| Chelsea Clinton to Visit CSU Dominguez Hills Friday, Feb. 1
Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, is coming to the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills this Friday, Feb.1, as part of the Clinton campaign’s young voter outreach effort.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Clinton will lead a youth movement rally outside the Loker Student Union’s Palm Courtyard. Joining her will be actors America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, Erika Alexander and Simon Woods, along with Congresswoman Laura Richardson (D-Carson) and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-Garden Grove).
Chelsea Clinton has been visiting a number of universities in the last several weeks to campaign for her mother, but also to press upon young voters the importance of their vote in the upcoming presidential election. The California Primary is Tuesday, Feb. 5. Young voters are expected to play a particularly important role in determining the next president.
The rally is occurring during the first week of the spring 2008 semester, when parking in campus lots is free. Parking lots 3 and 6 are nearest the student union.
