Sithea San: Alumna Works to Build Community in Long Beach’s Cambodia Town

As a founder and now chair of the board of directors for the fledgling Cambodia Town ethnic district in Long Beach, Sithea San (Class of ’91, B.S., business administration) continues to live by the words of a professor she fondly remembers from her days at California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Kosaku Yoshida, Ph.D., told his finance class that the obstacles throughout the journey are not what matter, but the end result.

As the logistics officer, he manages spending and purchasing, equipment, resupply, fuel, weapons and ammunition as well as warehouse management and special projects. Currently, he is developing a loading station with a weight scale for big trucks and equipment such as tanks, Humvee's, and heavy equipment to be used for deployments to training bases through out the United States when units deploy to Iraq or Afganistan.
