As a communications undergrad at Georgia State University, Nikki Powell learned how her favorite movies were made to appeal to the humanity of audiences. Now a graduate student at California State University, Dominguez Hills, Powell is learning to tell the story of soccer to the world, through her internship as a marketing intern for the L.A. Galaxy. The marketing major compares her past lessons in promoting films to promoting the team, emphasizing its rise since 1996 as one of the inaugural teams of Major League Soccer.
