Eleventh Ranked Toros Topple 20th-Ranked Grand Canyon 1-0 After Retiring Former Toro JT Minami's Jersey

Emotions ran high Thursday evening as 11th-ranked CSUDH honored former Toros men's soccer player Jaret Minami by retiring his jersey prior to the contest against 20th-ranked Grand Canyon, and then proceeded to take a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Antelopes to the season opener for the two teams.

DeSalvo the Difference in 13th-Ranked CSUDH’s 3-1 Win Over Grand Canyon

Cal State Dominguez Hills newcomer Melanie DeSalvo connected for two goals in a the game’s first 20 minutes, and that was enough in the 13th-ranked Toros’ 3-1 win over a game Grand Canyon squad in the season opener for both teams on a warm Thursday afternoon in Toro Stadium.
