School of Nursing Launches Stock Our Skills Lab Campaign
The California State University, Dominguez Hills School of Nursing has announced the launch of its Stock Our Skills Lab (SOS) Campaign to raise $250,000 to equip a new clinical nursing skills lab on campus that is scheduled to open in summer 2009.

Computer Science Department Receives NSF Funding for Faculty Research

Ani Nahapetian, Mohsen Beheshti and Jianchao “Jack” Han, faculty members in the computer science department at California State University, Dominguez Hills, received a major instrumentation grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The $57,168 grant will be used to provide computer science facilities that faculty across many disciplines can use for research in collaboration with their students. This is the first NSF grant awarded to the CSUDH computer science department.

IKEA Carson Donates Seating to University Library

While the sounds of construction can be heard on the south side of the Leo F. Cain Library Building, students in the library’s computer labs are comfortably- and quietly - sitting in new leather chairs, courtesy of IKEA Carson. The global retailer has been a supporter of California State University, Dominguez Hills for the last three years, with a previous donation of their signature furnishings going to the Multicultural Center in the Loker Student Union.
