Kenneth Ganezer has been appointed membership to the review panel of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Study Section for Surgical Sciences, Biomedical Imaging, and Bioengineering Integrated Review Group (IRG). The professor of physics attended a panel meeting in October in Washington D.C. and will take part in the next meeting in January in Dana Point, Calif.

Munashe Furusa, associate professor and chair of Africana studies at California State University, Dominguez Hills, was honored by the Carson Black Chamber of Commerce during the third annual Black Business Awards Gala on Dec. 4. He received the organization’s Education Award.
