The scene has changed a bit for Travis Kamiyama (Class of ’97, B.S. economics) in his new post
as executive chef at The Kress. Being based in the historic Kress Building on Hollywood Boulevard –
with its 360-views of Los Angeles – is a far cry from the Okinawan native’s first restaurant, which
he opened nine years ago in a strip mall on Lomita Boulevard. However, he says that his work is still the same.
