The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at California State University, Dominguez Hills is a learning-in-retirement organization for individuals 50-plus years of age who live in the South Bay and surrounding communities This spring, a team of the university’s faculty members will offer the lecture series, “Contemporary Scientific Issues,” instructors addressing emerging issues in the areas of biological, environmental, physical and cognitive studies and how their work is affecting communities both locally and globally.

California State University, Dominguez Hills and Southwestern Law School have partnered on two exciting new programs for undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in law: a joint J.D./M.A. program, and a 3+3 program through which students can earn their B.A. and J.D. degrees in six years.

Auditions for CSU Dominguez Hills Production “Everyman — The Musical” to be Held February 3- 4


The California State University, Dominguez Hills Department of Theatre Arts, in association with the Dominguez Bridge Theatre Company, is holding auditions on Tuesday, Feb. 3, and Wednesday Feb. 4, for “Everyman—The Musical: The South Bay Bridge Project,” its final play of the 2008- 009 season. Open to members of the community of all ethnicities and ages, the auditions will take place both days beginning at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, the Carson-Dominguez Hills Symphony, led by music director Hector Salazar, will present the Family Concert, a program specifically designed to appeal to children and introduce them to orchestral music. The free concert will be performed at 8 p.m. in the University Theatre on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills.
