Intramural Sports Provide Fitness and Fun for Non-Athlete Students


While the entire student body at California State University, Dominguez Hills can be proud of the Toros men’s soccer team winning the 2008 NCAA Division II National Championship, not all of the students can join the team on the field - unless perhaps they sign up for a class in intramural sports. The program is overseen by George Wing and is sponsored by the American Collegiate Intramural Sports.

Grant Awarded to Labor Studies Professor and University Archivist for Interactive Archive of Tradeswomen



Vivian Price, assistant professor and coordinator of labor studies and Greg Williams, director, University Archives and Special Collections, have received a $25,000 digital start-up grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for their project, “New Approaches: Tradeswomen Archive Project. The funds will support the beginnings of creating a virtual museum administered by the University Archives and Special Collections at California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Town Hall at CSU Dominguez Hills Focuses on Community Needs During Economic Crisis


The Center for Service Learning, Internships and Civic Engagement (SLICE) at California State University, Dominguez Hills will be hosting a Community Town Hall to assess community-based needs as a direct result of the economic crisis on Saturday, Nov. 7 from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the Claudia Hampton Hall located in the Welch Hall building on campus.
