Leadership Class Commended by City of Carson for Tsunami Aid Efforts
Students in a Leadership Development class at California State University, Dominguez Hills were recognized by the city of Carson for their relief efforts for victims of the tsunamis and earthquakes that ravaged Samoa, American Samoa, and the Philippines in September. A plaque was awarded to the students at the Carson City Council meeting on Dec. 1.

	A senior majoring in Chicana/o studies at California State University, Dominguez Hills, Alejandra Hernandez returns to her former neighborhood to help reunite families whose parents are recovering from domestic violence and drug abuse in her work as a case manager for the Personal Involvement Center at the Praises of Zion Baptist Church.
