David Diaz: Citizen Diplomat Works to Build Peace in Basque Conflict, Develop Curriculum in International Humanitarian Law

David Diaz served a one-year post as North American language and culture advisor in a program administered by the Spanish Ministry of Education. He is now working with the Red Cross to develop curriculum in international humanitarian law and with scholars from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid to help find a peaceful solution to the Basque conflict through education.
