Gilah Yelin Hirsch: Positive Energy of Art and Altruism Foster Physical Healing

Professor of art Gilah Yelin Hirsch is a participant and discussant at the 2010 Council Grove Conference of the Center for Environmental and Energy Medicine next month in Council Grove, Kan. The closed invitational conference, limited to 100 international participants, was first convened in 1969 to explore all aspects of consciousness. Within this context, popularly recognized medical implements, such as biofeedback, have been invented. Hirsch has been affiliated with the conference since 1982.

Greg Williams: Director of University Archives Pens New Book on History of CSU Dominguez Hills

In honor of the 50th anniversary of California State University, Dominguez Hills, a new book on the history of the campus has been written and compiled by Greg Williams, director of the University Archives and Special Collections containing more than 200 images of the university from its early beginnings as South Bay State College - when it was located in a Rolling Hills Estates bank building - to the Carson campus as it stands today.

Gilyard, a veteran actor with numerous television and film credits including "Matlock," "Walker, Texas Ranger," and "Die Hard," he is a guest artist and director of the upcoming production of Anton Chekov's "Three Sisters," which opens in the University Theatre on April 16.
