Alex Lim: McNair Scholar Gets the Message Across on Youth and Texting

Alex Lim, a senior at California State University, Dominguez Hills has been assisting Dr. Larry Rosen on his research on parenting in the digital age. Lim presented their findings on the effects of text messaging and learning in the classroom in a poster presentation at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students last November in Phoenix and was recognized for an outstanding presentation in the social and behavioral sciences.

Sigma Pi: Fraternity Promotes a Cure for Breast Cancer, Alcohol Awareness and Campus Beautification Project

During Sigma Pi Fraternity Week at California State University, Dominguez Hills, Feb. 22-26, the Eta-Iota Chapter did more than promote itself, it also used the occasion to raise awareness of three causes: breast cancer awareness, alcohol awareness, and the Altruistic Campus Experience (ACE) Project.
