Alumni Success Stories Featured in 50th Anniversary Speaker Series On April 14, four successful alumni returned to California State University, Dominguez Hills for a panel titled “Searching for Career Success: An Alumni Story.” The event was part of the 50th Anniversary Speaker Series. Panelists included Toni Bock, director of community relations for Virco and chair of Torrance Chamber of Commerce executive board; Dr. Cheryl Browne, M.D., physician-in-charge at Kaiser Permanente, South Bay; Don Manning, assistant store director at Saks Off Fifth; and Todd Rogers, mayor of Lakewood and commander with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

BFSA held the event to provide career wardrobes for students and community members who are job hunting or starting out in new employment.

Redeaux, a retired social worker and former administrator for Los Angeles County Children and Family Services, has organized the 1st Compton Annual Diabetes Awareness Walk, to take place on Saturday, April 24 at 8 a.m. at Compton High School.
