| Annual Student Art and Design Exhibition Features Works of Graduating Students
Works of art ranging from motion graphics, giant posters, and web design to mixed media assemblage, ceramic sculpture, and paintings, all created by 25 graduating seniors in studio art and design at California State University, Dominguez Hills are featured in the “Annual Student Art and Design Exhibition: B.A. Graduates” on display through May 20 in the University Art Gallery.
As part of the art department curriculum, each graduating art student is required to display and install selected works produced at CSU Dominguez Hills.
“The exhibition lets the students know their work is important and worthy of displaying to the campus and community audiences,” says art and design professor Bernard Baker. “The students also gain valuable practical experience from the process of designing, preparing, and installing the exhibit.”
The students also designed and published a 58-page, full-color catalogue documenting their works of art.
The “Annual Student Art and Design Exhibition: B.A. Graduates” is sponsored by the Instructionally Related Activities Committee of the Associated Students Inc. Admission to the gallery and the reception is free and open to the public.
