Art Department Alumni Return in 50th Anniversary Alumni Art Exhibition The “50th Anniversary Alumni Art and Design Exhibition,” an invitational exhibition held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary celebration of the founding of California State University, Dominguez Hills, will feature 75 works of art in varied media by more than two dozen alumni from the art and design departments. The exhibit will open on Wednesday, Sept. 29, and continue through Oct. 27 at the University Art Gallery.

Aufmann, who won the William Randolph Hearst/CSU Trustees' Award for Outstanding Achievement last year has started to earn her master's degree of social work at the University of Southern California. Villarreal, who serves as the program coordinator for the McNair Program, will be pursuing her doctoral studies at the University of California, Irvine.
