	The Luna Fund: College of Health and Human Services Reaches Out to Eritrean Family
	Last August, Angela Albright, associate dean of the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Dominguez Hills, returned from Asmara, Eritrea, with more than a memory card full of photos. The most notable memento of her time in the Northeast African country was the bridge she built between CHHS and a family in the illage of Wikidiba.

Faculty Legacy Fund: Emeriti Support Junior Faculty with Dollars and Release Time

The first year of the Faculty Legacy Fund has yielded approximately $240,000 in endowed and regular funds to provide new faculty with the resources to enhance their teaching. Bill Blischke, emeritus professor of sociology, helped establish the fund with his colleagues in the Emeriti Faculty Association with the hope that “emeriti faculty at Dominguez Hills [will] use their assets to support succeeding generations of faculty."

He is enthusiastic about online ordering of textbooks, which has helped keep beginning-of-the-semester traffic down at the Bookstore.

"It’s so much easier for our customers to buy online," he says. "They don’t have to walk up and down the aisles and look for their books. They just do it online, we pull the books for them, and they just come and pick them up.
