Overview of Image Project
CSU Dominguez Hills seeks more full-time students to benefit from its excellent programs and faculty. It is embarking upon a new brand image project to present itself to prospective students in a more compelling and relevant way.
CSU Dominguez Hills is working with OneWorld Communications, an Advertising and Public Relations firm, to convey that this is a vibrant campus for smart students. In more depth, Dominguez Hills will be positioned as offering the complete undergraduate culture, community and experience which high school students seek. It is a conveniently located CSU campus, with excellent features including:
- Academic excellence in all its programs including Business Administration, Teacher Education, Health and Human Sciences, Natural and Behavioral Sciences, and Liberal Arts.
- Large number of full time Ph.D faculty.
- Small classes, with individual academic attention,
- Safe campus with an excellent safety record.
- Excellent student support services.
- An ethnically diverse student body.
- An active campus with a new Student Union.
- Many successful Alumni, some who also make a contribution to the community.
The initial targets for advertising and outreach using the new image and messages will be: high school seniors, juniors and their counselors and parents especially within a 15 mile radius of the school. In addition, Community College students and their counselors are targeted.
The ultimate goal of the project is to increase enrollment at the University at all levels, and in particular to attract more talented young students to the campus.
The brand image will be reflected across all levels of marketing activities to present a coordinated view of the University to its current and future community, and promoted across a range of marketing material, advertising and outreach activities.
