Vagina Monologues Opens in University Theatre

Penetrating Play Benefits Shelter for Battered Women

Carson, CA - California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) will host the penetrating play, "The Vagina Monologues" in the University Theatre on Monday, Feb. 11, and Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at 7 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds from this production will go to aid Afghan women and local shelters for battered women.

The Vagina Monologues is directed by Brenda Arrieta, a 2001 graduate from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, with a double major in Theatre Arts and History.

The play is being performed by CSU Dominguez Hills' Teatro Dominguez, a multicultural theatre company composed of students, faculty and staff, which is dedicated to cross-cultural understanding both on the campus of CSU Dominguez Hills and in the surrounding communities.
