Groundbreaking Day For Southern California Athletes & Sports

Facilities will include New Home For Los Angeles Galaxy and Pete Sampras Tennis Academy

WHAT: Groundbreaking ceremonies for the "National Training Center" sports complex to be built on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, CaliforniaThe 85-acre, $120-million development will renovate many of CSUDH's existing recreational and athletic facilities and will include:

WHO: AEG and STAPLES Center President Timothy J. Leiweke, Pete Sampras, Alexi Lalas of the Los Angeles Galaxy, California State University, Dominguez Hills President James E. Lyons, Sr., Carson Mayor Daryl W. Sweeney, California State University Chancellor Charles B. Reed, United States Soccer Federation President Robert Contiguglia, MLS Commissioner Don Garber and members of the Carson community.
