To Host 5K AIDS Walk
Taking steps to fight AIDS
Carson, CA - California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald (D-CA-37) will host a 5K walk to fight AIDS on Saturday, April 27, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Hundreds of local community members and athletes are expected to participate in this fundraising event.

WHEN: Saturday, April 27, 2002, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
California State University, Dominguez Hills, has joined with Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald and the League of African American Women to raise money and public awareness to fight the depilating disease of AIDS. Each year, thousands of women are diagnosed with HIV and hundreds more die from AIDS. This 5K walk is held as a means to bring greater awareness to the problem. Congresswoman Millender-McDonald has asked the public to consider ways that they may become involved to fight this devastating illness.
The general registration fee is $25. Students and seniors over 60 can register for $10, while children are free. Everyone must pre-register before the walk by calling (310) 323-4375.
