To Host 2003 5K AIDS Walk
Taking
steps to fight AIDS
Carson, CA - California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald (D-CA-37) will host the 7th Annual 5K AIDS Walk of The League of African American Women on Saturday, April 26, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Hundreds of local community members and athletes are expected to participate in this fund-raising event. This AIDS Walk is recognized as the only walk in the country that directs all proceeds to women and children of color.

WHEN: Saturday, April 26, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
California State University, Dominguez Hills has joined with Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald and the League of African American Women to raise money and public awareness to fight the debilitating disease of AIDS. Proceeds from the 5K AIDS Walk are donated to six healthcare facilities: The Watts Health Clinic; The Charles Drew University Oasis Clinic; Harbor-UCLA Pediatric AIDS Clinic; T.H.E. Clinic; Long Beach Memorial Pediatric Unit; and the Asian American HIV/AIDS Organization.
