Community Showcase celebrates the spirit of Toro Pride
CARSON, Calif. – The entire campus of California State University,
Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) is looking forward its biannual welcome to students,
titled “Welcome
Week 10 (WWX) 2003.” The nearly weeklong celebration, held Sept. 8 – 11,
will feature special activities, games, and contests.

WHEN: September 8 - 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thousands of students from throughout the South Bay and the greater Los Angeles area will be treated to programs and activities that reflect the university’s pride in its cultural and ethnic diversity, which distinguishes CSUDH from other campuses in the area.
“We are looking forward to a full week of exciting games, stimulating discussions and engaging activities that will help new and returning students better prepare for a successful academic year,” said Iselda Salgado, chair of the WWX programs. “Our goal is to help each student become fully involved in our campus community and in the process receive a broader and complete university experience.”
Salgado said she hoped CSUDH students would walk away from the WWX festivities with a greater commitment of participation in the campus community.
