California State Dominguez Hills to Welcome Prospective Students During Recruitment Fair, “Day at Dominguez”

Students seeking admission to an undergraduate program may bring
a completed application for evaluation and get admitted on the spot

Carson, Calif – In an ongoing effort to attract new students, California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) will host “A Day at Dominguez” recruitment fair on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. More than 1,700 high school and community college transfer students are expected to gather in the University Gymnasium (Torodome) and begin a full day of activities to introduce prospective students to Cal State Dominguez Hills. The daylong activities are geared to bring in new students for the spring and fall 2004 semesters.

University outreach officers have planned a full day of activities specifically designed to acquaint prospective new students to the benefits of enrolling at CSUDH. “Our Day at Dominguez open house program is designed to provide detailed information about the programs and services offered at Cal State Dominguez Hills,” said Joe Coldren, director, University Outreach & Information Services.

“The event will also address the needs of high school students, transfer students, graduate students and international students,” said Coldren. “Students seeking admission to an undergraduate program may bring a completed application for evaluation and get admitted on the spot.”

Coldren said the recruitment fair offers much more. “This semiannual event includes opportunities to talk with faculty and administrators, tour the campus, attend workshops for parents and students and talk with current students who represent various campus clubs and organizations.” Coldren said prospective new students will be treated to free food during the fair.

CSUDH offers 43 undergraduate majors and 19 master’s degrees as well as multiple-subject and single-subject teaching credentials. The University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

California State University, Dominguez Hills takes pride in offering a ‘World of Opportunity’ to everyone who desires a quality higher education. Visit the university website at www.csudh.edu for complete information on campus curriculum and activities.
