Cal State Dominguez Hills Selects LA Schools Federal Credit Union
CSUDH chooses official provider for on-campus consumer banking services

CARSON, CA – After a comprehensive selection process, California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) has chosen the Los Angeles Schools Federal Credit Union (FCU) as its official provider of on-campus consumer banking services.

“We reviewed proposals from several financial institutions, but LA Schools FCU scored higher in our review process,” said Emmit Williams, director of Procurement, Contracts, Logistical & Support Services for CSUDH. “It offered all the services we wanted for our students, faculty and staff, and it shared our commitment to education.

“Not only did the LA Schools FCU have a full line of affordable financial services,” explained Williams, “they also addressed our desire for financial wellness programs, and are offering savings programs and credit education for our students, as well as financial counseling and education for the entire campus community. There is something for members at every life stage.”

“We are proud to have the opportunity to serve CSU Dominguez Hills,” said Terry Janke, president/CEO of LA Schools FCU. “Although this is one of the Cal State system’s ‘youngest’ campuses, it has already earned an outstanding reputation and has made outstanding contributions to the South Bay community.”

CSUDH is celebrating the 45th anniversary of its founding in 2005. Initially opening for classes in a Palos Verdes bank building, in 1966 the university moved into temporary buildings in Carson and then moved to its current location in 1971. Currently, it serves approximately 13,000 students and offers 43 undergraduate majors and 19 master’s degrees.

LA Schools FCU was founded in 1939 and serves the educational community in the Los Angeles area. It will provide savings and checking accounts; auto, personal and real estate loans; ATM and debit cards; Internet banking; and other essential financial services to the university.
