State University serving the South Bay/South Los Angeles communities seeks
CARSON, CA: California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) has launched its first-ever survey of community enterprises and organizations to find out how the community perceives the University and its graduates, as well as what programs and services are needed.
Nearly 12,000 mailed and e-mailed surveys have been sent to representative business, industry, labor, government, educational, and non-profit and faith-based organizations asking them to describe their experiences with CSUDH, its graduates, and the University’s programs and services.
The 46-item survey was developed by university staff with advice and assistance from an 80-member panel of community leaders from all of the economic sectors included in the sample. The panel is co-chaired by actor and educator Tony Plana and CSUDH Vice President for University Advancement Justine Bell-Waters.
CSUDH President James E. Lyons, Sr. stated, “I am encouraged by the broad based support that the campus is receiving on this project. I look forward to presenting the results and a plan of action based on the community input in the fall of 2005.”
Representatives of business, industry, labor, government, education, and non-profit and faith-based groups wanting to participate in the survey project are encouraged to complete the survey online at www.csudh.edu/talk2csudh.
