MEDIA ADVISORY: Emergency Preparedness Hearing Today by State Assembly at CSU Dominguez Hills

A hearing on Emergency Response and Preparedness in Los Angeles will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Nov. 1, in the University Theatre at California State University Dominguez Hills, 1000 E. Victoria St., Carson.

The hearing of the State Assembly committees on Governmental Organization, Veterans Affairs, and the Budget Subcommittee on Information Technology/Transportation will focus on efforts being made by the state, federal, and local governments to ensure the state is prepared for natural disasters. The hearing was organized by State Assembly member Jerome Horton (D-51) (Class of ’79, B.S. Business Administration), who chairs the Assembly Governmental Organization Committee
