CSUDH Holds Open House, On-Site Admissions, Information April 22
The Day at Dominguez open house is synchronized with the annual Unity Fest
Carson, CA— A good look at what educational programs and services Cal State Dominguez Hills has to offer will be synchronized with the Saturday, April 22 Unity Fest on campus. Not only will information be available to all from faculty, staff, and student representatives, but the staff is prepared to admit qualified students on the spot and advise others on how to qualify.
Any students with any interest in the several dozens of educational opportunities at CSU Dominguez Hills should bring their transcripts, test scores, and a check for $55 so they can take advantage of the onsite admission service if they choose to do so.
The special open house program is especially for high school seniors, as well as for transfer students, adult re-entry students, international students, and parents of potential CSUDH students.
Information will be offered in Spanish, as well, and there will be workshops on academic programs and student services, online application workshops for undergraduate students, campus tours, tours of student housing, and refreshments.
Check-in for the open house is between 9 and 10 a.m. at the Torodome Sports Complex Gymnasium. The program runs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Torodome is east of the tennis courts on Toro Center Drive. The nearest parking is in Lot 4A, which is directly south, and Lot 6, which is north and west. Both lots are accessible from Toro Center Drive, which can be entered from both East Victoria Street and University Drive.
At the same time on campus is the annual Unity Fest, a celebration of the diversity on campus and in the community. Unity Fest admission is free. The annual festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., includes music, food, dancing, entertainment, games, children’s activities and face painting, items for sale, and information booths on various cultures, groups, organizations, clubs, and the University.
The University is along Avalon Boulevard between the 91 and 405 freeways and east of the 110 freeway at 1000 East Victoria Street.
