CSUDH: Tour to Japanese American Museum in L.A. Planned
Carson, CA-Special prices, lunch, and a docent-guided tour of the Japanese American National
Museum in Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles are being offered to the public through the Institute
for the Study of Cultural Diversity and the College of Health and Human Services at California State
University, Dominguez Hills.
The bus to the museum will leave the university at 9 a.m. Oct. 20 and return at 2 p.m. Cost is
$12.50, or $11.50 for Dominguez Hills students and youths. The cost includes round-trip transportation,
a museum luncheon, discounted museum entrance fees, and the guided tour. Seating is limited.
The mission of the Japanese American National Museum is to promote understanding and appreciation of
America’s ethnic and cultural diversity by sharing the experiences of Japanese Americans.
The bus will leave from CSU Dominguez Hills’ Small College area, on the north side of campus near the
information kiosk on Dominguez Hills Parkway. The Parkway parallels East Victoria Street. The kiosk
is east of the Tamcliff Avenue-Toro Center Drive entrance from East Victoria Street. Parking is available
in lots 1 and 2 near the kiosk. Parking permits are available from the yellow dispensing machines at the
peripheries of the lots.
CSU Dominguez Hills is at 1000 East Victoria Street, between Avalon Boulevard and Central Avenue. It is
south of the 91 freeway and north of the 405 freeway.
