In her nine years as its director, the Peninsula Education Foundation more than doubled its annual giving and launched several successful fundraising campaigns for programs and activities to serve the 11,900 students attending schools in Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills and Rolling Hills Estates.

“We are thrilled to have Andrea join the CSU Dominguez Hills team as our associate vice president for development,” said Greg Saks, vice president of University Advancement. “Her knowledge of the South Bay, extensive fundraising experience, and commitment to the mission of our university make her a great fit. I am excited to have her on board.”

The Office of Development at CSU Dominguez Hills works to facilitate partnerships between corporations, individual, private foundations and other organizations within the community to help grow scholarship, research and academic programs at the university.

“I am excited to be joining the team at CSU Dominguez Hills,” Sala said. “I look forward to reaching out to the South Bay and greater Los Angeles communities to develop partners who understand the mission of the university, its dedication to excellence, and commitment to educating students of great diversity. There is so much that can be done to ensure academic success and enable students to become the future leaders of our local businesses and communities.”

Sala lives in Rolling Hills Estates with her husband and their three children. She serves on the board of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, and is active with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Sandpipers Inc., and the National Charity League, Inc.
