The US Department of Education has outlined eligibility requirements for those students interested in the Upward Bound program.  The requirements are:  

• Come from a low income family as determined by U.S. Department of Education
   
• Enrolled in grades 9-11 at one of our target schools
   
• First generation college student (neither parent or guardian had earned a bachelor’s degree
   
• Motivated and interested in attending college
   
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident with a valid social security card
