First-Time Connecting to CSUDH Web Server

On 'Start' menu, go to Programs.
Highlight WS-FTP.
Click on WS-FTP95LE.

The Session Properties window will be opened up.
Click on NEW button.

Under the General tag:
Type in a Profile Name. (e.g. csudh, it, ais, or hr, etc.)

Host Address: www.csudh.edu

Host Type: Automatic detect

Type in your user name and password.

Check Save Pwd box.

Then click on Startup tag.

Under the Startup tag:
Type in the folder name in the 'Initial Remote Site Folder' box.

(If your department URL is 'www.csudh.edu/infotech', the folder name is 'infotech'.)

Then click 'OK'.

After you're successfully connected to CSUDH web server, you will see the above window on your screen.
On the left side is the directories and files on your local machine.
On the right side is the directories and files on CSUDH web server.

To upload files from local machine to server:
Locate the drive and directory on your local machine.
Highlight the files that you want to upload on the left side.
Click the button located between the left and right windows.

To download files from the server to your local machine:
Locate the drive and directory on your local machine.
Highlight the files that you want to download from the right side.
Click the button located between the left and right windows.
